Xiaomi Spearheading Towards Adding Document & ID Scanning, Video Tags to MIUI 11’s Camera




The Chinese smartphone giant Xiaomi unveiled its MIUI at a launch event in China. The android application development company updated its android skin by adding a set of new features and visual improvements in its user interface that made it a completely new design from scratch, Features such as an always-on display, new fonts, and more. While Xiaomi had already planned to roll its stable MIUI 11 to its devices, but it seems like Xiaomi plans to integrate more features into its layout.

Xiaomi is preparing to add its document scanning feature, allowing scanning many documents through the MIUI camera app. The document mode will allow storing images in monochrome, making the text legible.
Moreover, MIUI hints of having a video tagging feature that will enable a user to set bookmarks upon recording the video. Upon playing the recorded video users will have a convenient option to redirect them to the pertinent bookmark selected. However, the code has already been implemented in nightlies and it’s not for long that users will soon experience new features on their Xiaomi or redmi devices.
